How Different Roles Play in Cyberpunk Legends

Night Crew

Over the course of many different game demos, we’ve gotten a lot of questions about how the different roles in Cyberpunk Legends actually play. James has talked about this a ton on our Discord, and we did touch in it in a past Kickstarter update, but I know not everyone gets those, so we thought it would be worth a quick blog post.

If you're wondering what the different roles will be like, here’s a look.

The Rocker

Go loud.

You're the charismatic charmer who’s going to do the talking when violence isn't the way.

Keep your crew in the action with the best healing in game or take center stage and set up big moments when you really need an epic finale.

The Netrunner

Buy time for everyone to do crimes.

Your team needs a data term hacked or to scramble some gonks’ cyberware? You're the person for the job.

By shutting down cameras and creating distractions you're going to provide extra turns for the team. When something's a little more complex than what the crew can handle in a round, the crew’s going to turn to you to bail them out.

The Solo

Hit things hard...hit things harder.

Sometimes the direct approach is the best approach. When the crew needs to punch a Bozo, level a city block or go toe to toe with the NCPD, it's your time to shine.

Raw damage is the name of your game, but that doesn't mean you're without finesse. Setting up your plays for maximum damage is what you're all about.

The Nomad

Survival. Stealth. Family.

When a lock needs to be picked or some second story work needs to be done, you're the one everyone looks to...but by then you're already gone.

As a Nomad you're used to cleaning up for city dwellers. If the plan really goes wrong, you're probably the only one who can fix it. And if you can't? You might be able to call in some incredibly powerful members of your clan to help out.

But you're not locked in...

As you play you'll be able to grow and build your deck in any direction you want.

You want to double down on being the Netrunner? You can absolutely do that...but you want to be a Rocker who also happens to be able to hit things pretty hard (like certain Rockers we know), that’s completely something you can build into, also.

What class are you most excited to play?
